Bidwell Farm and its two 5 star GOLD AWARD self catering cottages sit within the Blackdown Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – in the pretty Devon village of Upottery. Situated in 5 acres of private grounds with stunning panoramic views, the cottages offer peace and tranquility and an escape from our busy lives.

The cottages are a gentle 8 minute walk through country lanes to the local village pub which serves good family meals and award winning beers from the local Otter Brewery.

The Cottages

Haybarton and the Cowbyre have been sensitively renovated into comfortable cottages combining traditional elements with modern comforts.

Both self-catering cottages can comfortably sleep 6 in 3 en-suite bedrooms. If both cottages are rented together, the large farmhouse table in the Haybarton can accommodate 12 guests.

We hired both houses at Bidwell Farm for a family holiday. The large grounds and houses allowed us all the room we needed. Both houses were well equipped and very comfortable. The Haybarn had a large kitchen, which meant we were able cook most evenings, and we all took a turn at cooking. The local pub up the hill allowed a couple of nights off. The barbecues were also used. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was a huge bonus. Also plenty of parking for everyone's cars. Surrounding countryside added to the relaxation factor. Bidwell Farm very central to all the tourist destinations in East Devon and adjoining Dorset. Would recommend using both houses if you are a large family group or two families.
