TV series – River Cottage
After several years of listening to guests’ stories of visits to River Cottage, we decided to test out River cottage hospitality and booked Richard into a one day bread making workshop this January. He thoroughly enjoyed his day out. We also booked into one of their ‘Friday nights’ dining events. The dining room holds about 60 people and was full, mostly with guests from far and wide. There was a party atmosphere and the food was delicious.
The buildings and surroundings are rustic, as expected, with wash rooms being outside in the courtyard and the car park being at the top of the hill with a tractor/trailer to transport guests. Paths are stoney so suitable shoes are essential. Verdict – we will go again as we had a fun night.
