We believe your holiday starts the moment you walk in the door and every detail in our cottages reflect that. We welcome you with a selection of our favourite award winning local goodies. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of plates, cutlery and glasses in the cupboards. Each cottage has a Nespresso coffee machine and a slow cooker as we know what makes life easier (and that’s what holidays are all about) as well as the less exciting necessities of a fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. We provide outdoor sporting equipment because 5 acres of garden deserves a game of rounders and board games for cozy nights in front of the fire. Each cottage has Sky TV and a DVD player plus a sound dock with a jack making it compatible with all phones. We like to think we have thought of everything from providing a torch for late night walks back from the pub to cake tins and kitchen scales in case you need to make a celebration cake. There is even a picnic blanket and basket for the beach. It goes without saying that each cottage has free WiFi.

If you have little ones we can provide travel cots and high chairs (we have 2 of each) plus trainer seats and potties should you need them. We have boxes of age appropriate toys for babies, toddlers and 2-4 year olds that we will lend you for your stay.

Over the years we have compiled extensive, up to date information guides for each cottage. One of these guides lets you know the essentials about the cottage and the things you need to know; where to put the rubbish for example. The other guide tells you all the things that it may take a while to research: the best pub to take a dog to or where to hire a kayak to explore the Exe Estaury. We know where to get the best ice cream (Otter Valley Dairy) and the best local ale (Otter Ale) and who serves the best crab sandwiches (The Hive Café) but we want you to try them too.
